Audio quality: 7/10 Clear polished voices using a mixture of a male and female voice to create variety. Clean edits and quality recording. No music and a relatively short tour covering 16 works in 30 minutes. Visitors may like this short and sweet summary but for a gallery with 1000 permanent works I would have enjoyed a more comprehensive guide.
Audio content: 7/10 Really liked the direct address of listener and the focus on the building the art work is housed in as well as the masterpieces on display. Some of the episodes felt overlong at 3+ minutes. Four of the episodes are focused on the more contemporary works which didn’t feel like enough. Overall, I just think they need to do a longer tour including more works.
Ease of use: 7/10 This tour like most, is accessed through the app. As well as the 30-minute masters episode there is another in simple German for language learners (really nice touch) and another in German and another designed for children. The app was easy to use but on occasion froze for me and needed closing and reopening.

Top Tips: My visit highlight was a temporary exhibition called The Ephemeral Lake by the Danish artist Jakob Kudsk Steensen. It would be great to incorporate mention of the temporary exhibitions into the audio tour so people don’t miss gems like “The Ephemeral Lake”.
